My recent pastel painting, Self-Portrait, Late 90s, was accepted into the prestigious Pastel Society of America Pastels Only show in New York City, September 6 - October 1, 2011.
My landscape painting, Halloween, was displayed at the Haggin Museum in Stockton as part of the Pastel Society of the West Coast's International Open Show Pastels USA, April 24 - June 19, 2011.
My pastel titled Morning, 7-Mile Beach, Negril was accepted to the Pastel Society of the West Coast's Pastels USA, their International Open Show held at the Hagen Museum in Stockton.
I received the acceptance notice from the Pastel Society of America's Pastels Only show. Pastels Only is the premier pastel show in the nation and is held at the National Arts Club Grand Gallery at 15 Gramercy Park South, in New York City. I was pleased that they accepted my painting titled Jah Youth Strikes a Pose, a pastel representing a Jamaican beach character that goes by the name of Jah Youth, though his given name is Coswell Hillman. The pastel was begun from life on the beach in Negril Jamaica and completed from photographic references.

What may be a surprise to many people familiar with my pastels is the depth of my involvement with print making, particularly serigraphy and monotype, and a sprinkling of linocuts. For those who are unfamiliar with these printmaking terms I will be providing photo progressions of these print processes.
