Publications
I was recently contacted by Go! Publications, publishers of Sky West Magazine, the in air magazine one finds in the seat-back pouch on Sky West planes. They are doing a feature article on Chico for their January/February issue and will be using one of my pastels at the beginning of the article as well as featuring me in their ART WATCH section of the magazine.

Price: $18.95 + $3.00 postage. (CA residents add $1.35).

In March 2008, I had a show at the Avenue 9 Gallery in Chico with an artist friend from my college days, Lenn Goldmann, focusing on my most recent travel related pastels and oil paintings. The newest work was from my February trip to Zihuatanejo, Mexico. We had great publicity and attendance with good sales.
My pastel Morning, 7-Mile Beach, Negril was accepted to the Pastel Society of the West Coast's Pastels USA, their International Open Show, this year held at the Hagen Museum in Stockton.
I received the acceptance notice from the Pastel Society of America's Pastels Only show. Pastels Only is the premier pastel show in the nation and is held at the National Arts Club Grand Gallery at 15 Gramercy Park South, in New York City. I was pleased that they accepted Jah Youth Strikes a Pose, a pastel representing a Jamaican beach character that goes by the name of Jah Youth, though his given name is Coswell Hillman. The pastel was begun from life on the beach in Negril Jamaica and completed from photographic references.

What may be a surprise to many people familiar with my pastels is the depth of my involvement with print making, particularly serigraphy and monotype, and a sprinkling of linocuts. For those who are unfamiliar with these printmaking terms I will be providing photo progressions of these print processes.
